As you all may or may not know, Ron was selected for department head about a month ago. We just found out where Ron's next orders are taking us...Guam! While we are not slated to arrive until around October of 2010, we will be leaving Japan around April or May next year as it stands, to go to San Diego. Ron will have to spend a few months there to learn a new airframe since he will no longer be flying 53's. We could not be more excited. Earlier this year we took a trip to Saipan, which is also part of the same island chain. Guam is a 45 min. plane hop away, so we know exactly what to expect there. We enjoyed every minute in Saipan and are excited to spend a long visit in the same environment. Beach days everyday! Ron will be attached to Andersen AFB, there to the HC-25 helo squadron. Japan is great, incredible things to see and do, but I think the "island atmosphere" and "Hafa Adai" (half-a-day) personality is more to our liking. I added some pictures to give you an idea of where we're going to live next.
